City of Flint Selected as a PlacePlans Community

The City of Flint was awarded a technical assistance PlacePlans grant to aid in the design of the Grand Traverse Greenway Trail. The PlacePlans project is a collaboration between the Michigan Municipal League and Michigan State University that provides transformation placemaking projects. The development of the Greenway Trail is a top priority in the Transportation and Mobility section of the Imagine Flint Master Plan, while promoting alternative transportation modes that provide healthy lifestyle options for Flint residents.

Flint is one of eight cities around the state to be awarded the grant. Generous matching support was provided by Diplomat Pharmacy, part of the S. Saginaw Task Force group that engages in programming and opportunity to create a more vibrant S.Saginaw corridor.
